Mia’s dream job is not only a testament to them, but to years of dedication and the support from her role models, her parents.

“I originally went skating for a bit of fun one Sunday, and I automatically fell in love with the feeling of being on the ice,” Mia recalls.

Her coaches soon recognised her talent, and that early love for skating transformed into a glittering career in dance skating. Mia's skills and dedication earned her numerous titles, also twice becoming Scottish champion and even international champ.

In 2022, her own adventure took a magical turn when, after an online audition, she was invited to join Disney On Ice, produced by Feld Entertainment. Since then, she's performed in shows along the West Coast of the United States and now across Europe.

Reflecting on what she loves about performing, Mia says: “Everything! I love entertaining the audience and skating alongside the other cast members. I love how free skating makes me feel and the costumes. Everything about performing is amazing.”

With Road Trip Adventures, audiences can expect a high-energy show that brings Disney’s classic characters and stories to life through dazzling choreography and special effects.

“My toughest challenge has been finding the confidence to skate on my own again after my ice dance partner went his separate way to skate abroad,” she shares.

But with every performance, she feels the thrill of living her dream and the joy of exploring new places, she adds:  “But the bittersweet part of that is not being able to do it with my family by my side.”

When she’s not on the ice, Mia has a few unique skills of her own, including a knack for making a great cup of coffee thanks to her days as a barista.

Before every performance, Mia has a superstition of putting her skates on, the right one first - a ritual that adds a touch of luck before stepping into the spotlight.
