Performers show they've got talent

Pictured here are some of the winners of this year's Eckington's Got Talent event.

The show, which has been supporting local charities for five years now, raised £842.34 for the Madeline Siddall memorial fund.

It is hoped the money will help the Siddall family reach their funding target to pay for 100 young adults to be screened for cardiac risk.

A spokesman said that with 19 acts at the event judging the talent was no mean feat, but the winners were Robyn Askham and runner-up Georgie Mills in the Under-10s, Ellicia William-Smith and runner-up Tilly Stapleton in the Under-16s, Neil Gallagher and runners-up Regal Army in the Dance category and Lya Bartley and runners-up Pixie Jazz and Paul ‘the sax man’ Smith in the Adult category.

The spokesman added: “I would like to thank our sponsors, Humm Music Productions, Specsaves, Xbite and Eckington Civic Centre because they are the reason we can keep going.”
