Award-winning comedian advises fans to buy their tickets early.

BAFTA-winning comedian Chris McCausland is returning to Derbyshire for three performances in 2027.

Tickets are now on sale for his new show, Waffle, which tour Derby’s Vaillant Live on October 23 and Chesterfield’s Winding Wheel Theatre on November 5 and 6. Chris has loads of funny stuff to share with his audiences and is looking forward to being back on tour and expecially the hotel breakfasts and not being woken at 7am by his family every morning!

He said: “I’ll be starting this tour three months after turning fifty, so if I was you, I’d get your tickets early to avoid having to stare at the top of my balding head from up in the gods for the duration of the show. It’s not going to be a pleasant sight from up there. You have been warned!”

A firm favourite on flagship comedy shows, Chris has appeared on The Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall and has made numerous appearances on: Have I Got News for You, Would I Lie to You?, QI, The Last Leg, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Blankety Blank, Scared of the Dark, The Jonathan Ross Show, The Graham Norton Show, along with celebrity editions of The Chase, Pointless, and Mastermind, the latter of which he won with his chosen specialist subject, Pearl Jam. He has also made 4 appearances on Live at the Apollo, including hosting the very last Christmas episode which will broadcast in 2026.

Chris famously won the hearts of the nation in 2024 winning the BBC show Srrictly Come Dancing. Amongst other things, it meant his stand-up tour Yonks! went on for a further year, selling more than 350,000 tickets nationwide, culminating at the legendary London Palladium.

The comedian, who is blind, co-wrote and co-starred in - with Lee Mack - Bad Tidings, a Christmas film for Sky. He also fronted Chris McCausland: Seeing Into the Future for BBC, as well as, Wonders Of The World I Can’t See for C4.

On radio Chris is a familiar voice on R4 News Quiz as well as his own panel show You Heard It Here First, which has enjoyed three consecutive series.

This year, Chris added another string to his bow by joining Absolute Radio with The Chris McCausland Show, which airs every Sunday morning,

Chris’s debut autobiography, Keep Laughing, was published by Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House, at the end of 2025. The paperback will be released in January 2027. The audiobook version has just been nominated by The Speakies (the British Audio Awards) for Audiobook Of The Year.
