The Doncaster performances will be led by director Kevin O’Hare and feature feature some of the most extraordinary artists gracing the world stage today.

A special Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland themed dance performance will also be led by the Royal Opera House Learning Team with children from Doncaster schools, outside Cast, in Sir Nigel Gresley Square, on Saturday, September 24, 1.15pm to 1.40pm.

Local fashion student Page Waite has designed a new hat for the Mad Hatter to wear as part of the school’s performance that will be made by the Royal Opera House Costume team.

The Royal Ballet was granted a royal charter in 1956, becoming recognised as Britain's flagship ballet company.

Now, one of the foremost ballet companies in the world, it is noted for its artistic and creative values.

The partnership with the Royal Opera House, Cast and Doncaster Council was introduced in 2019 and was recently extended into 2023 following a year of postponements due to COVID-19.

It intends to reach most schools in the city by July 2023 to create opportunities to develop the talent of young people through dance, music and theatre craft.
