Eliot is the man behind some of the world’s biggest pop hits, film songs and recently co-wrote Broadway musical Finding Neverland, with his close friend Gary Barlow. .

He has written chart-topping songs for international artists including Aretha Franklin, Bryan Adams, Celine Dion, The Spice Girls, Take That and Dame Shirley Bassey.

Now he is back in Sheffield after launching a new hit children’s show, Coco Melon Live, in New York, which will tour the USA throughout 2022.

With more musical theatre shows in the pipeline, 2022 promises to be one of Eliot’s biggest years to date.

It begins when he steps back into the spotlight for the first public performance of his first solo album.

A Yacht Named Sue is inspired by the Yacht rock genre from the mid-1970s and early ‘80s, epitomised by Hall & Oates, Foreigner and Michael Macdonald. The album name references the style of music and is homage to Johnny Cash’s A Boy Named Sue.

Eliot said of his forthcoming show: “This concert promises to be very special. It’s such a joy to perform in Sheffield, a city I am proud to call home and it will be very emotional, as well as a lot of fun, to play my debut album.

"It’s been 25 years in the making since I had my first hit with Take That. I’ve done a lot of growing up since then. The album is very much a result of my own life experiences.

“It will be a personal and intimate evening with some behind the scenes stories from my career, and some very special guest appearances. I can’t wait.”

Eliot’s first number one was Take That’s Everything Changes which he co-wrote and co-produced with Gary Barlow, which started their long running song-writing partnership.

His first global success was the Spice Girls single Say You’ll Be There.

Milestone hits, co-written with his longstanding song writing partner Bryan Adams, include When You’re Gone featuring Mel C, the title song to Celine Dion’s massive album, Let’s Talk About Love, and Never Gonna Break My Faith with Aretha Franklin and Mary J Blige, for the film, Bobby. which won a Grammy.

The song was later reclaimed by the Black Lives Matter movement, hitting the number one spot on the Gospel chart in the States.

He also has an Ivor Novello award for Picture of You, co-written with Ronan Keating for Boyzone and the ending theme song for the 1997 Mr Bean movie Bean: The Ultimate Disaster Movie.

Eliot has had other major hits as writer and producer with Blue, S Club 7, Five, Billie Piper, Atomic Kitten and more.
