Planning for this summer’s Stainsby Festival is on hold while organisers await an update on the government’s directive on large-scale gatherings.

A statement on the festival website says: “Since a festival is more than two people gathered together, we've had to suspend planning for 2020 until we know more.

“If government guidance changes and it’s safe to do so, here's our pledge: if we can – we will, and if we can’t – we’ll see you all next year.”

If this year’s festival at Brunts Farm, near Heath, Chesterfield, scheduled for July 17 to 19 does not go ahead, any tickets already bought will be valid for the 2021 event.
