Scouting For Girls release live and acoustic EP ahead of tour including dates in Sheffield and Derby - here's how to get tickets
Pop-rock favourites Scouting For Girls have released a live and acoustic EP ahead of a UK headline tour.
The trio – frontman Roy Stride, bassist Greg Churchouse and drummer Peter Ellard – are famous for hits such as She’s So Lovely, Elvis Ain’t Dead and chart-topper This Ain’t a Love Song, all of which feature on the album.
The EP, called Live and Acoustic and available on all streaming platforms, features two previously unreleased live performances of Heartbeat and This Ain’t a Love Song, alongside performances of some of their biggest hits from their first two albums, including a trio of songs recorded at Nottingham ArenaIt follows the release of Easy Cover earlier this year, celebrating their love of 1980s music and culture, featuring versions of some of the decade’s biggest songs, such as Everybody Wants to Rule the World and The Whole of the Moon, as well as some new songs inspired by the era.
The band said: “We’re not trying to do justice to these songs, that’s impossible. We’re just trying to have fun and take them out on the road to give people the night out they deserve after 2020.”
And fans can expect to hear some of the songs from it, as well as their greatest hits when the band hit the road in October and November on a massive 45-date tour.
The tour includes shows at Sheffield’s The Leadmill, on November 13, Holmfirth’s The Picturedrome the following night and Derby’s The Venue on November 20. For tickets, see scoutingforgirls.com/events
