Rock duo Royal Blood have announced a new tour to coincide with their new album – including a date in Nottingham.

The band – Mike Kerr on vocals and bass and drummer Ben Thatcher – shot to fame with their eponymous debut album, which topped the charts on its release in 2014 and featured UK rock chart number-one singles Out of the Black and Little Monster.

Follow-up album How Did We Get So Dark? also topped the charts on its release in 2017, with the band having high-hopes for a hat-trick with the release of their third long-player, Typhoons, on April 30 – the title single has already reached number two in the UK rock chart.

And now, to coincide with the album’s release, they have announced a huge 2022 UK arena tour, including a date at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday, March 29, – their first full UK tour since 2017, when they sold-out three consecutive nights at London’s Alexandra Palace.

Other shows include Leeds’ First Direct Arena on April 1 and Manchester’s AO Arena the following night.

The Brighton band said: “Playing live is the DNA and sole purpose of our band. On stage with our fans is where we belong, and we cannot wait for this tour to be a reality.”

Fans who pre-order the ‘Typhoons’ album from the band’s official store will gain exclusive access to a pre-sale for tour tickets, which opens on May 5, at 9am, with tickets on general sale from gigsandtours.com on May 7, from 9am.
