Skinny Jeans is the brainchild of promoter Leigh Priestley, who said he was launching the nights to try to breathe live back into the local indie rock scene.

“The music scene in Chesterfield isn’t what it could be, we’ve got some great unsigned acts in the area like Natterjacks, The North, Shindys and The Trap, but bars in the area don’t really cater for bands who do their own tunes.

“So, I thought with the help of Real Time Music’s brilliant venue, I’d launch a night ‘Skinny Jeans’, which will be dedicated to the indie / rock & roll bands in the local area, and have them support some of the best upcoming touring acts around.”

He added: “Hopefully the night goes a success, and I’ll bang more nights on in the near future.

“So if you want to see some top local bands, which write and play their own tunes, then get yourself involved, and support the local unsigned music scene!”

Tickets for the launch night show are £4 in advance, available from Real Time and seetickets.com.
