Prize-winning poet Daljit Nagra shares creations for Derby festival

Award-winning poet Daljit Nagra will read his creations and answer questions from his audience for Derby Poetry Festival.

Daljit is a Forward Poetry Prize winner, the first BBC Radio 4 Poet in Residence and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.

British poet Daljit’s work reflects the experience of Indians born in the United Kingdom. His poem Singh Song! is on the curriculum for English literature GCSE.

He’ll be marking National Poetry Day on Thursday, October 1, with a free Zoom performance from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Daljit will answer questions from host Anne Holloway, from Big White Shed Publishing and Writing East Midlands, and from the audience via Zoom’s chat function.
