New dates in Sheffield and Buxton for The Manfreds' Maximum Rhythm 'n' Blues tour

A tour featuring legendary pioneers of rock and blues The Manfreds and their special guest Georgie Fame has been rescheduled for 2021.

The stars will now be playing at Sheffield City Hall on October 14 and Buxton Opera House on October 30 next year.

Manfred Mann racked up hits such as 5-4-3-2-1, Do Wah Diddy Diddy, Pretty Flamingo and Sha La La before disbanding at the end of the Sixties.

Fast forward two decades and several original members of the band reformed as The Manfreds, in celebration of Tom McGuiness’ 50th birthday.

The line-up now features the original Manfred Mann singer Paul Jones alongside founding members Mike Hugg and Tom McGuiness. Also joining the all-star line-up is Paul Jones’ 1966 replacement Mike d’Abo, responsible for penning the classic tracks Build Me Up Buttercup, and Handbags & Gladrags, as well as Simon Currie and Marcus Cliffe, who have previously worked with the likes of Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, and Rod Stewart.

Georgie Fame first shot into the charts as the founding member of Georgie Fame & the Blue Flames and went on to achieve three UK number one singles Yeh Yeh, Get Away and The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde.​
