Holly Johnson announces Sheffield show on Welcome To The Pleasuredome 40th Anniversary Tour


Holly brings his Welcome To The Pleasuredome 40th Anniversary Tour to the City Hall on June 23, 2025. Tickets go on pre-sale at 9am this morning (October 3) and on general sale tomorrow at 10am via www.sheffieldcityhall.co.uk
Following his critically acclaimed 2023 shows, Holly returns to the stage with a new production featuring the timeless hits that made Frankie Goes to Hollywood one of the most influential bands of the 80s. Fans can expect to hear iconic anthems like the chart-topping Relax, Two Tribes and the ethereal The Power of Love.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood were one of the most influential outfits of the Eighties and were among the first openly gay pop acts, making gay rights and sexuality a theme of their music and performances. Their album Welcome to the Pleasuredome, produced by Trevor Horn, achieved advance sales of more than a million.
Last month Holly launched brand new exhibition, “The Holly Johnson Story”, at the Museum of Liverpool which is running until July 27, 2025. This landmark exhibit explores the life and career of the singer and groundbreaking LGBTQ+ champion, from his Liverpool roots to international fame. It features costumes, memorabilia, personal stories of those impacted by HIV, and Holly's own artwork.
