Chart-topping 80s band ABC celebrate 40th anniversary of The Lexicon of Love album with hometown show in Sheffield
The band have lined up a date at Sheffield City Hall on June 21, 2022 which will be exactly four decades to the day that they launched their iconic album.
They will play Lexicon of Love in full during this tour which will see ABC returning to the Royal Albert Hall where their first orchestrated show won the hearts of critics and fans alike.

Hide AdThe Lexicon Of Love went straight to number one upon release and sold over a million records. Fusing dance floor finesse with a post-punk attitude, the album spawned timeless tracks such as Poison Arrow, The Look Of Love, Tears Are Not Enough and All Of My Heart.
ABC fronted by songwriter Martin Fry were formed in Sheffield in the 1980s and to date have released nine studio albums: The Lexicon of Love (1982), Beauty Stab (1983), How To Be A Zillionaire (1985), Alphabet City (1987), Up (1989), Abracadabra (1991), Skyscraping (1997) and Traffic (2008).
A mere 36 years since the release of their landmark debut album ABC returned with their resounding triumph The Lexicon Of Love II which immediately entered into the top five.
ABC will be joined by the Southbank Sinfonia and longtime collaborator Anne Dudley who will conduct the evening.
