But Neil Bennet has organised one last show to collect cash for worthy causes - and he wants YOUR help to make it a cracker.

The Trip Through The Decades event at Chesterfield’s Winding Wheel on Sunday, April 7, will be a night of nostalgia - in the name of Ashgate Hospice and the Air Ambulance.

The show features Marc Robinson as Buddy Holly from the 50s, Past Masters doing songs from the 60s and a montage of Cliff and the Shadows and top of the bill is Abba Sensation.

This is the third fund-raising gig Neil has staged in the last six years.

He said: “This is the last show I’ll be doing and would like to go out with a bang.

“We have performed to over 2,000 people and raised in excess of £25,000 for local charities and with luck and your help we are hoping to raise over £6,000 from this show. It’s a great show and tickets are £12 auditorium and £14 circle.”

Neil won’t be disappearing completely from the scene though, and will act in advisory role for future fundraisers.
