Shooting star Caroline aims high after sponsorship deal

A leading Great Britain clay pigeon shooter from Matlock has set her sights on future success at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 after securing sponsorship from leading national law firm, Irwin Mitchell.

Caroline Povey, 32, a four-time UK clay pigeon shooting champion, is a regular member of the Great Britain shooting team and has recently been selected to compete at the prestigious World Cup event in Cyprus next month.

An d she has now been given a useful financial boost after Irwin Mitchell stepped in to help with her funding.

Commenting on her new sponsorship deal, Caroline said: “I am very proud to be supported by Irwin Mitchell.

“Their generous financial support, along with that received from other sponsors, is very important as it enables me to attend more domestic and international competitions.

“With this support I hope to be able to increase my training levels and enter more competitions.

“This will put me in an ideal place to challenge for a place in the England team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.”
