Raceline tip of the day: Sunday 23rd September

Poor racing in the UK today but a quick trip across the Irish Sea finds this richly competitive Group Three contest for middle-distance fillies, in which Dermot Weld’s three-year-old can regain the winning thread. A well-bred, well-regarded daughter of Selkirk, owned by Khalid Abdulla, she’s closely related to the yard’s high-class filly, Emulous. Unraced as a juvenile, she burst on to the scene in May and was considered a dark horse for the Irish Oaks at one stage. Yet to finish out of the first two, she travels through her races like a class act and is likely to appreciate this slight drop in grade. Her main dangers are Henry Cecil’s new acquisition, ANDROMEDA GALAXY, who was fifth in last season’s French Oaks, and the Queen’s MOMENTARY, who is on a comeback mission after losing her way in the summer.
