A delighted Dring said: “I boxed on my front foot pressuring and dictated every round against a strong and heavier opponent with me giving weight away.

“I would like to thank my trainer and manager Jay and Mike Shinfield from Shinfield Gym in Somecotes.

“Without them this wouldn’t be possible. I would also like to thanks my sponsors and all the people that bought tickets to come and support me. I hope the support carries on for the future.

“Anyone wishing to sponsor me message me through Instagram or Facebook at Liam Dring pt.”

Drink started out at the Dronfield School of Boxing, turning professional in June last year.
