“My ambitions for my pro career are to make it to the top – I want to win a world title,” he said. “I’m motivated to win everything and I’m very hungry for it.

"This is only the start of my journey and things are going to get really busy in the near future. This journey will definitely be an amazing adventure.

“I loved the amateurs but now I’m looking forward to my professional debut this year.

"I can’t wait to see my friends and family there and I promise they really won’t be disappointed. It is a big year coming up and we are working hard.

"I’m working harder than I have before for the last 12 months. I’m looking and feeling good and I can’t wait to climb through those ropes again.

"I don’t know when my first pro fight is going to be just yet, but I’m ready whenever, hopefully it will be as soon as possible.”

Brennan has been a committed member of the Claire Dobinson School of Dancing in Rowsley for five years now and takes regular ballet lessons to help improve his footwork.

His boxing journey suffered a setback in September following a traffic accident.
