Thai youngster Chaimongkol bagged a fabulous runner-up finish in round 14 at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, which was sandwiched by top-ten finishes in the 13th and 15th rounds.

Hillspeed teammate Jusuf Owega, of Germany, continued his fine maiden season in car racing with eighth, ninth and then a career-best top-five spot. And the team’s third driver, Ben Hurst, improved throughout to collect 17th, 14th and then 13th.

“What a brilliant weekend it was for us,” said team principal Richard Ollerenshaw. “I was so pleased to see an increase in the performance of all three drivers, most notably Ben, who made exceptional progress.

“It was fantastic to see ‘Cutter’ back on the podium, while Jusuf also had a strong weekend.

“Spa is a difficult track, particularly for three young and inexperienced drivers. But we have always worked as a team and enjoyed some good success there over the years.

“The podium from ‘Cutter’ and the other performances from Jusuf and Ben show we have a fast package.”
