Jacksdale trio win national title

Karen Henry, Debbie Rider and Linda Sanderson won all 10 of their matches and are now all ranked in the country’s top 50, Karen at 23, Debbie at 45 and Linda 50.

Debbie, who is also the secretary and treasurer of the Mansfield Table Tennis League, said: “We were so excited to win the division over the two weekends as the previous season we were on a wait list to re enter the event as the season previously we lost out on 0.4 per cent.

“Karen, our number one, had a bad injury and couldn’t play, so we had to get a reserve a week before the event and so came fifth out of six teams to be relegated and drop onto the waiting list for season 2013/2014.”
