Harpur’s hot-shots claim county title
Harpur Hill Primary School’s netball team has been crowned Derbyshire champions.
The school took the county title at the Derbyshire School Games’ Primary High 5 Netball County Final, held at Tupton Hall, Chesterfield, earlier this month.
Harpur qualified for the event for the fifth year running, having won through the local area competition and represented Buxton at the High Peak event, organised by the High Peak Schools Partnership on Friday April 26 at Chapel-en-le-Frith High School.
Headteacher Patrick O’Connor said: “I am so proud of the children, who played with commitment and enthusiasm on the day and throughout the competition, winning every match they played.”
