Matlock Ladies will Foursomes

It was congratulations all round for both the Matlock Ladies Silver and Bronze teams in the County Inter Club Foursomes Competition.

After four rounds of competition both teams travelled to Mickleover Golf Club on Friday to contest their respective finals.

With an aggregate score of 1 Up Silver Team members, Pamela Hedley, Jill Smith, Julie Gregory and Carol Gladwin were narrow winners over opponents Tapton Park.

The Bronze final was even closer, when, on completion of eighteen holes both matches were all square.

But the Matlock Team of Diane Gray, Veda Kay, Denise Morley and Raili Turk held their collective nerves and completed a 1 Up victory over Cavendish Ladies in the extra holes.

These results completed a hat-trick of County Inter Club Foursome success for the club with the men winning the second division final at Burton Golf Club two weeks ago.
