Town levelled twice against Wrexham and then snatched all three points when Weston thundered one in with seconds remaining.

The Blues can’t take their foot off their gas as they remain in the National League relegation zone and face a tough test against promotion-chasing Yeovil this weekend (5.20pm).

“A result like this can give us massive confidence into the next game,” Weston said.

"I think it is important the whole squad are together now because we are going to need everybody until the end of the season.

"We need to be on our game every game.

“We just need to take every game as it comes but just be aware that we have not got a hell of a lot of time as well either.

“Individual mistakes need to be cut out quicker.

Nathan Tyson, on loan from Notts County until the end of the season, made his full debut for Chesterfield against Wrexham and impressed with his pace and work-rate.

“He is 37 and fit as anything,” Weston added.

“He is one of the quickest in team, he looks after himself.

“He had had an incredible career and I think we are lucky to have him.”

Meanwhile, John Pemberton has been named the Vanarama National League Manager of the Week after Chesterfield’s comeback win against the Red Dragons.
