Hide AdOn the incident which resulted in Boden being shown a red card, Pemberton said: “I didn’t really see it.
“All I was going off after the game was what he (Boden) said when he came off. He said ‘I never touched him’.
“I think the goalkeeper overreacted which was part of the problem.
“But when we look at it again, I think he does catch him, but the ball was at a 45° angle, both players were going sideways, it is not as if the goalkeeper has come out and he has slid right into him. They are both sliding sideways for the ball, but Boden does catch him so I just don’t think there is any point because I don’t think it will get overturned anyway so we will miss him.”
