Right-back Cropper, 19, was John Pemberton’s first signing in January when he joined on loan from Burnley, scoring one goal.

Tyson, 37, scored three goals and claimed two assists in six matches after a loan move from Notts County.

Speaking to the DT, Pemberton said he would not rule out Cropper re-joining the Blues next season.

“I had a conversation with him and he has really enjoyed being with us and I would not rule out a chance of maybe bringing him back but there is work to be done and Burnley need to sit down with him and see where they are regarding his development,” Pemberton said.

“Initially they were concerned how he would cope with it but he actually coped with it well because he wants to improve.

“At the end of the day Burnley want to see where he is with it and they want him to play at the highest level that he can play.”

Tyson proved his doubters wrong with some impressive performances including a 23-minute hat-trick against Ebbsfleet United which made him the first Chesterfield player to score a treble as a substitute.

The experienced forward’s contract at County expires this summer.

Pemberton, who has previously said he believes Tyson will become a free agent, said: “I would not be worried about bringing Tyson back - I think you have seen what he can do.

“We don’t have a player that can do what he can.

“I think anybody who is fortunate enough to get him will certainly have an asset.

“I don’t care how old people say he is - he does not move like a 37-year-old.

“I think with Tyson it is the experience he brings with everybody else. He has been there, seen it, done it.

“He is very good in the dressing room, he is good on the training ground and he is good with the information he gives. The more of that we can get the better.

“I will speak to him and see where he is in this process with Notts County.”
