Johnon said: “Scott has scored a lot of goals at National League level, and in the Football League as well. He’s a very experienced goalscorer, which we’ve obviously been looking for, so I’m very pleased to bring him to our club.”

On the decision to loan Boden out, Town boss James Rowe said: “I said that if there was any football available for the players that are on furlough I would never stand in their way, I want the best for everyone. The wellbeing of people is important and if an opportunity like Torquay, or another club, comes along then I won’t stand in anyone’s way to play for football.”
