Seeing as most clubs haven’t made a start on their summer recruitment, picking who will figure at the top end is a risky task.
Chesterfield will be joined in League Two next season by promoted York City and Rochdale, the two stand-out sides in the National League last term.
Coming down from the third tier are of course Northampton, Port Vale, Exeter and Rotherham United, who have still to officially appoint a head coach to work under their new Head of Football, one-time England boss Steve McClaren.
At least the presence of the Millers provides a “local” derby to replace Notts County, who are League One-bound after seeing off Salford in the play-off final.
With the full 24-team line-up now confirmed, Paddy Power have released their odds for next season. These are the prices they are giving for promotion.
