Spireites hopeful of signing early next week

The Spireites had been set to announce a second signing in as many days following the arrival of striker Gozie Ugwu on Thursday.

But director and company secretary Ashley Carson said there had been a delay.

He said: “Unfortunately there won’t be a player signing today. Must be the sun shine.”

And later added: “Should hopefully get sorted after the long weekend. Sometimes these things don’t always happen as planned.”
