Curls wide on his left foot from the edge of the box. He wants that hat-trick!

KHAN!!!

Chesterfield make it 3-0 on 49 minutes. Rowe sends King clear down the right and he delivers a low cross to the far post which Khan tucks in. King has set up all three goals this afternoon. Assist King!

Southend almost pull one back two minutes into the second-half.

A free-kick catches Chesterfield off guard and sub Murphy fires wide when he should do much better. A let off for Town.

Two Southend changes at HT

Hamzad Kargbo is replaced by Rhys Murphy and Benji Kimpioka is off for Terrell Egbri. A new front two for the hosts.

We are back underway.

HT: Southend United 0 v 2 Chesterfield

A Danny Rowe double has the Spireites in control. The only downside of the half is Fraser Kerr going off injured.

A chance for Tshimanga in the box but he hits the side-netting. Khan felt it should have been squared, and it probably should have been.

Before that chance, Southend’s Ferguson blazed over when well placed in the box.

ROWE AGAIN!!!

Chesterfield lead 2-0 on 40 minutes and Rowe has his second. King pulls a corner back to Rowe who runs off his marker, he fakes to shoot on his right, turns back on his left and slots it in. Classy goal.

Goes on a mazy individual run, beats one, beats two, tries to cut back on his right foot but the ball is pinched off him inside the area. That would be have been an amazing goal.

Spireites sub - 32 mins

The injury curse continues for Chesterfield as Fraser Kerr is forced off and is replaced by Jamie Grimes. The one area they did not need an injury!
