Half-time
HT: Southend United 0 v 2 Chesterfield
A Danny Rowe double has the Spireites in control. The only downside of the half is Fraser Kerr going off injured.
Almost 0-3
A chance for Tshimanga in the box but he hits the side-netting. Khan felt it should have been squared, and it probably should have been.
Before that chance, Southend’s Ferguson blazed over when well placed in the box.
GOOOAALLL!!!! 0-2
ROWE AGAIN!!!
Chesterfield lead 2-0 on 40 minutes and Rowe has his second. King pulls a corner back to Rowe who runs off his marker, he fakes to shoot on his right, turns back on his left and slots it in. Classy goal.
Danny Rowe
Goes on a mazy individual run, beats one, beats two, tries to cut back on his right foot but the ball is pinched off him inside the area. That would be have been an amazing goal.
