HT: Maidstone United 0 v 0 Chesterfield

An uncomfortable half for the Spireites who have Covolan to thank for being level.

Quigley and Asante have gone close up the other end.

For Maidstone’s Deacon for a foul on King just before half-time.

Again from Covolan, diving low to save from Pattison from distance after Mandeville got caught on the ball.

Barham runs in behind Williams from a long ball forward, he takes the shot early but it’s a fairly easy save for Covolan.

Covolan then makes anothe routine save from Deacon from distance.

Half an hour gone, 0-0.

This time it is Asante, who is denied by the legs of Hadler at the near post after Quigley pulled the ball back.

Excellent control from Quigley who turns his man on the edge of the box and then curls a shot just wide.

Better.

Not sure who made it but a Town man got an important block in to stop a shot from Corne after a mazy run. The resulting corner comes to nothing.

0-0 after 21 minutes. The hosts have been the better side overall so far.
