Recap: Chesterfield's unbeaten run is over after they fall to defeat at Southend

Southend say more than 7,500 tickets have been sold for today's game so it should be a belting atmosphere.

It will be the first time they have won eight games on the bounce since 1933.

Paul Cook has made two changes from the win against Barnet last weekend.

Wonder if Jones has been rested with Woking on Tuesday in mind. Another chance for Oldaker to impress. Jacobs starts after his goal off the bench last week. Subs will be important today.

Worth noting that today's game is the cut-off point for a one-match ban for five bookings. Naylor and Dobra are on four. Avoid going into the book this afternoon and they are in the clear. Williams is also on four but obviously he is injured anyway.

This is Southend's first home game since October 24 so we are going to a have a minute's silence before kick-off to mark last weekend's Remembrance Day tributes.
