FT: Chesterfield 3 v 1 Dagenham & Redbridge: LIVE UPDATES (3pm)

They are welcomed by a fantastic crowd. Looks like another good attendance.

Not long to go!

Hello everyone!

It’s absolutely scorching here at the SMH Group Stadium. I wouldn’t be surprised if the players were given the opportunity to have a drinks break midway through each half today.

Chesterfield are unbeaten at home and are scoring for fun, but they are also conceding goals and Paul Cook has reponded by makin changes at the back.

The Daggers have won three on the trot so they could be a handful this afternoon.

Don’t go anywhere!

Chesterfield team news confirmed - three changes

Three changes from win against Aldershot Town.

IN: Williams, Freckleton, Dobra.

OUT: King, Palmer, Horton.

No Jeff King in the squad.

Ollie Banks comes onto the bench.

Three changes to the defence. It looks like it will be a lop-sided back three when in possession, with Mandeville pushing on, which is what happened in the second-half last week.

4-2-3-1: Tyrer; Mandeville, Williams, Grimes, Freckleton; Jones, Naylor; Dobra, Jacobs, Colclough; Grigg.

Subs: Palmer, Banks, Oldaker, Berry, Quigley.

Danny Webb on season so far

I think there is a list of priorities – first is results, which have been very good. That’s the first tick.

“After that, we are scoring so many goals and creating things. That’s another tick and we’ve conceded too many goals.

“The clean sheets have yet to be ticked. We’re aware of that, the players are aware of that, and everybody is aware of that.

“We’re scoring nearly three goals a game and we’ve conceded about two a game. It’s always better to be in the plus column but as a team we want some clean sheets.”

Spireites injury news

Jeff King (hamstring) has trained this week and should be okay, according to Danny Webb.

Bailey Clements (thigh) is due back in full training next week.

Ryheem Sheckleford (hamstring) remains out for at least a couple more weeks.

After drawing their opening game and then losing three on the bounce, they have now won three in a row.

Daggers top scorers

Are Ryan Hill and Omar Mussa, who both have two goals each,
