  • Fitzsimons; King, Palmer, Grimes, Maguire; Jones, Banks; Mandeville, Dallas, Colclough; Quigley. Subs: Horton, Oldaker, Uchegbulam, Dobra, McCallum.

Another eye-catching one and two-touch move creates space for Banks at the end of the box but he curls it wide. Excellent play from the hosts.

Alli pounced on a mistake and ran towards goal but Grimes did well to send him wide and see the ball out for a goal-kick. Moments later,Grimes was called into action again, this time making a great block from Warburton. Two nice bits of defending from the skipper there.

Great move by Chesterfield

Involving Banks, a lovely touch by Dallas, and Mandeville. The latter probably should have shot or played his pass to Colclough quicker. Colclough still managed to get a low cross in but the visitors just about got it away.

Still 0-0 here.

One chance each so far. Warburton for Halifax, Banks for Town.

Quigley wins possession back high up the pitch and plays in Banks. The midfielder goes through on goal and gets a shot off but Johnson saves with his legs and it goes behind for a corner.

Heart in mouth moments

A couple of back passes, first from Banks and then from Maguire, led to heart in mouth moments but thankfully Fitzsimons dealt with them well.

Goalless after nine minutes.

The first chance goes to Halifax but Maguire gets a key block in at the back stick to stop Warburton giving the Shaymen the lead.
