Behind at the break

HT: Chesterfield 0 v 1 Halifax

Warburton’s well-taken strike is the difference so far.

The Spireites are looking rusty after 17 days without a game.

Kerr glances a header over the bar at the near post from Miller’s corner right on half-time.

Kellermann picks up the ball in the middle of the park, drives forward, tries to slip Asante in but he over-hits it and it goes out for a goal-kick.

Four minutes to the break.

For Tshimanga.

Gunning’s free-kick from wide on the right takes a deflection on the way, Tshimanga picks it up with his back to goal and manages to get a shot off but it is blocked and Johnson saves easily.

Has probably one of Chesterfield’s best players in this opening 35 minutes.

It is a good battle between him and Warren.

Miller gets a half a yard on him this time and delivers a cross but it is deflected and is collected by Johnson.

Halifax still lead 1-0 and don’t look in any real danger at the moment.

Chesterfield have been poor in possession and are yet to have any sustained pressure.

Almost an instant equaliser for the hosts from Miller’s corner. The visitors did not deal with initial delivery. Oyeleke and then Kerr tried to force it in but the Shaymen scrambled it clear.

Goal for Halifax: 0-1

Warburton fires in from the edge of the area with an accurate curling effort.

0-1.

18 played.

Have done a decent job in quitening the home crowd in this first 15 minutes. The visitors have enjoyed some nice possession but are yet to threaten Scott Loach.
