Recap: Chesterfied fightback to draw at Aldershot Town
The Spireites lost to Notts County on Saturday but the performance was much-improved.

The striker is played in one-on-one by Dobra but he makes a bit of a mess of it and it goes well wide. That was a huge chance to put the Blues in front.

Chesterfield equalise one minute into the second-half and it’s a first Spireites goal for McCallum. Sheckleford cross from the right, McCallum’s first effort hit the bar and may have gone in, but he reacted to prod in the rebound anyway. 1-1.

The Spireites are behind at the break. Flat performance. Lots of possession but not done enough with it. Akinola the only bright spark so far.
Dobra is fouled near the edge of the Shots box and the referee awards the free-kick.
There’s a scuffle after the foul and two Aldershot players are booked and Grimes and Mandeville are also yellow carded. Grimes steamed over to the ref, he was clearly angered at the tackle on Dobra, and got involved in some argy-bargy. The home fans wanted him off.
Banks takes the free-kick, and it is deflected behind for a corner.
