Jon Nolan said Bradford City put in the '˜perfect' away display to beat Chesterfield at the Proact today.

The Spireites midfielder admitted it was the right result after the Bantams outperformed their hosts for the vast majority of the game.

“It’s disappointing, all the lads are devastated,” he said.

“They were a good side and I think they deserved to win that one.

“The one on Tuesday felt like a loss, it was hard to take but we tried to forget that coming into this one.

Bradford were better than us on the day today.”

Nolan was particularly impressed with the match winner Billy Clarke, who was a livewire all afternoon, and expects Bradford to challenge at the top of the table this term.

“He caused us problems all game, I don’t think we dealt with him like we should have,” he said.

“They had the perfect away performance, they’ll definitely be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

“That doesn’t excuse us we just weren’t at the races.

“They’ve got individual players, we’ve got good individual players. If they’re the marker we can certainly match them, we just need to cut out the mistakes, get it sorted on the training field.”
