Clubs took part in a Zoom meeting and, according to Wrexham finance director, Mark Williams, they were advised not to sell season tickets, although some have already started to.

Mr Williams revealed that they initially plan on letting 2,600 fans into the Racecourse Ground.

He also said Wrexham propose on selling their tickets in blocks of 10 games at a time, on a first come, first served basis.

“That’s our plan at the moment; rather than do all 23 league games, if restrictions are lifted then it gives us more flexibility,” Mr Williams told the local Wrexham newspaper, The Leader.

Chesterfield will be announcing their plans for tickets when it becomes clearer how many supporters will be allowed into the Technique Stadium.

It is rumoured that clubs will be allowed to fill a third of their stadiums which would mean the Blues could have around 3,300 fans in the ground.

In other news, Spireites legends Jamie Hewitt and John Duncan have both backed the new ownership of the club.

Hewitt said: “The town needs to get behind the football club.”

Duncan added: “The trust has got a good reputation in the town and hopefully that will now spread into a positive future for the club.”
