Pemberton said: “He adds experience which is important and is what we needed.

“I think in his career he’s scored 122 goals so hopefully he’ll add some goals to us.

“He’s played at a high level and he fits with what we are trying to put together in the dressing room.

“It’s competition for everybody so when we get Mike (Fondop) back we’ll have four strikers and two young ones which are coming through.”

He had a previous spell at County in 2014 before re-joining the Meadow Lane club again last August.

So far this season Tyson has made 16 appearances for County in all competitions, scoring once.

County manager Neal Ardley said: “Nathan leaves with our very best wishes having been a consummate professional throughout his time with us.

“Although it’s been a difficult season for him, his attitude in training and application in matches has been outstanding.

“He deserves the opportunity to go and play regularly again and we weren’t going to stand in his way.”
