'˜Millwall will be flat' after FA Cup heroics says Caldwell

While the Scot follows a long line of managers calling the ground a ‘difficult place to go’ he’s adamant that the Spireites will have more of a spark about them than the Lions.

Chesterfield were beaten 2-1 by Bury on Saturday in a bitterly disappointing afternoon.

Neil Harris led his men to a famous FA Cup win over the Premier League champions.

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s visit to the side sitting seventh in League One, Caldwell said: “It’s a very difficult place to go, I’ve been a few times, the crowd make it difficult for you, the way the manager sets them up to play.

“(But) they will be flat, their energy levels will be low, make no mistake about that.

“Anybody who has had the high they have had at the weekend, when the adrenaline wears off then the energy runs out.

“We will have far more energy than them, it will be a difficult game for them.

“We have to try and capitalise on that.”

When the two sides met earlier in the season, Steve Morison was the star man for the Lions in a 3-1 Proact victory.

Caldwell has yet to lead a team to victory over Millwall in his managerial career, drawing two and losing the other of his three games against them as a boss.
