Gary Liddle and Jay O'Shea had the Spireites deservedly ahead with Swindon goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux keeping the score respectable at the break. Ched Evans marked his home debut with a goal midway through the second half before Town substitute Darnell Furlong's late effort only proved to be a consolation goal.
