Hide AdCook enjoyed his return to a place where he tasted glory, with a League Two title and a run at the League One play-offs.
“It’s always nice for players and managers to come back to places like this where you’ve had success and the people here show their appreciation,” he said.
“I don’t like to see this club where they are at the moment - it’s a great club, you only have to look at the facilities.
“I certainly wish them well for the future, and I hope they can take the first step back this year.”

Combative midfielder Morsy was involved in a number of his trademark tussles and clearly relishing the game.
But Cook is looking after his World Cup star to ensure he’s fully fit for the Championship kick-off.
“Everyone knows what a competitive lad Sammy is.
“We brought him off after 70 minutes - he wanted to stay out there.
“It’s a situation we have to manage, because we want him to be ready for the first game of the season - and he will be.”
