Tom Whelan struck the only goal of the game on 37 minutes, hooking the ball into the net from inside the area after the visitors failed to clear Martin Smith’s free-kick.
Akwasi Asante hit the post in the first-half, while the visitors smacked the crossbar after the break.
A really good all-round performance. Lots of energy, drove forward and played forward passes. Starting to show what he is all about. Photo: jason chadwick
Started brightly. Volleyed over from the edge of the box early on. Great technique for the goal, his fourth in a Town shirt. Replaced by Mandeville with 20 minutes to go. Photo: jason chadwick
Had a shot blocked after 25 seconds. He was very lively in the opening half an hour and his strike from 25 yards with tipped onto the post by Ross. Ball retention was good and he was a handful for the Weymouth defence. Photo: jason chadwick
