Eastleigh celebrating their late winner

The Spireites twice went in front and looked the better side in the first half against the play-off chasing Spitfires, before a bewildering second half collapse.

Shwan Jalal - 6 - He came close to keeping out the first, went challenging for a high ball and didn't get it for the second and was beaten by a wonderstrike for the third. Not the catalyst for defeat.
Haydn Hollis - 5 - In the right place to score a goal. Struggled against an experienced and difficult strikeforce.

Will Evans - 5 - Not as commanding as he can be, a relatively quiet performance given what he's capable of.
Josef Yarney - 4 - Put in one particularly nice cross in the second half but decision making on the ball wasn't great for the majority of the game.
Robbie Weir - 7 - A brilliant first half, stopped a number of attacks. Not as good in the second half but still one of the most effective in blue. His departure hurt Town.
Curtis Weston - 4 - Not at the races. Guilty of giving the ball away, even when seemingly under little pressure.
Jonathan Smith - 4 - One of his worst displays in a Chesterfield shirt. Poor on the ball. Playing out of position didn't seem to suit on this occasion.
Ellis Chapman - 6 - Had a hand in both Town goals. His quality of delivery was there for all to see. Exposed defensively when moved to the middle late on.
Charlie Carter - 5 - Showed, once or twice, how difficult he can be to stop when he's in full flow. Lack of match fitness showed in the second half.
Tom Denton - 7 - Played a really simple, effective game. Hardly put a foot wrong in the first half. Less effective in the second half but still won his headers.
Scott Boden - 6 - Scored a classic poacher's goal. Could perhaps have had a penalty. When service was lacking, he cut a frustrated figure and didn't effect the game.
