The Nailers gaffer has been impressed by the hard-work being put in off the field by the club’s committee.

Town unveiled their new 4G training pitch in November, while work on a new stand recently began.

And Black is determined to reward that dedication by bringing success on the pitch.

“The chairman and everyone behind the scenes have continued while we have been off to progress the club,” he said.

“Everything they have been doing is excellent. The stand is a massive thing for us and the 4G continues to improve.

“The club is trying to progress behind the scenes. The ambition is there to not only get promoted, but to keep competing and climbing.

“Things are being put in place and the motivation for the lads is to stay at Belper and progress up the pyramid.

“We have got something special and we just need to put it all together.

“The club are doing their part in raising the bar with facilities off the pitch. You look at what they are doing and you can’t help be excited.

“We will do all we can to keep raising the bar on the pitch.”

But Black admits he is desperate to win a promotion but says he does not feel any more pressure to bring results.

“I am very demanding on myself and we are as a management team,” he added.

“We put a lot of pressure on ourselves and expect to win every game, if we don't do that we feel something has gone wrong.

“There is no pressure from anyone else, but we want to compete and we want to get promoted.

“We will continue to keep the pressure on ourselves and keep ourselves on our toes.”

Planning is already well underway with their planning for the new season with new contracts and signings being finalised.

Said Black: “We have tied down a couple of lads that we wanted to keep for next season.

“Everyone else is positive about staying. We want to bring a couple more additions in.

“We are happy with what we have got, but we always reflect on things.

“We will strengthen where we feel we need to and we have talked to our targets. They will come in on April 4th so we can have a look at them.”
