But Wajs is most pleased with how it;s all coming together off the field and the backing received from the wider community.

“It's not been a start we would have planned with the situation we find ourselves in, but it is coming together well and we are making great strides,” he said.

“The home games have been well supported and the team are going in the right direction on the pitch. We have been well supported and it’s all positive.

“I’m most pleased with how we pulled it all together with the community. They are giving us good support and we are seeing ideas come to fruition.

“We are getting backing and there is interest from people who remember the old club and want to see what we can do.

“We have had a lot of well-wishers and groundhoppers enjoying a bit of nostalgia. There is a bit of a buzz around the village now.

“We have had nice comments from people who have visited.”

But Wajs admits the frustration is there for the club at the lack of games played.

“We just want to get on with it now,” he added.

“The manager is feeling the frustrations. He has put a good squad together and has a good group of lads.

“They have all bought into the ethos of the club. We have just hit that point of playing the waiting game and hopefully we won't be waiting too long.”
