Loan defender George Edmundson was the hero with headers in the 87th and 92nd minutes to snatch the unlikely point following striker Paul Clayton’s dismissal in the 34th minute following an aerial clash with Kieran Charnock. Law said: “It’s unfortunate. l’ve seen it on the DVD and l don’t think there’s any malice in it whatsoever. Probably having your arm up there is the natural thing to do when you jump and the centre-half hasn’t jumped. “He wasn’t complaining too much at half-time going up the tunnel. It was just an unfortunate incident and it is what it is. “The sending off has changed the game — if anything l think it might have made us a little bit better.”
