FT: Chesterfield FC 3 Crewe Alexandra 1

Chesterfield-born Connor Dimaio's home debut goal 11 minutes in to the second half sealed all three points for the Spireites against struggling Crewe Alexandra at the Proact.

Chesterfield raced in to a two-goal advantage when Sylvan Ebanks-Blake broke the deadlock on seven minutes before strike partner Lee Novak doubled the Spireites’ lead on 12.

Though an injury to Chris Herd meant a quick re-shuffle of the pack for Danny Wilson, with Jay O’Shea coming on in a 4-4-2 formation.
