Former Chesterfield striker Scott Boden signs for Boreham Wood
Former Chesterfield striker Scott Boden has signed for Boreham Wood.
The 31-year-old was released by the Spireites at the end of his contract in the summer.
Boden has signed a one-year deal at Boreham, with the option for a further 12 months.
The move comes a day after Chesterfield signed Kabongo Tshimanga from Boreham for an undisclosed fee.
Boden joins another ex-Spireite, Will Evans, who also left Town at the end of last season, at the National League side.
Boden, who had two spells at Chesterfield, ended last season on loan at play-off finalists Torquay United.
Evans and Boden will face their former club at the Technique Stadium on October 23, with the reverse fixture taking place on March 12.
Boreham said in a statement: “The club want to give a warm welcome to a striker with a great attitude, great work ethic and who possesses a very good goal scoring record at National League level.”
