The Premier League title hopefuls will stump up £47m to prise the winger away from Wolfsburg.

And the Daily Mirror believe the continued interest from City will see the player demand a move.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Chelsea’s £30m bid for John Stones will be turned down by Everton.

The Toffees are understandably desperate to hang onto the centre-half.

Elsewhere on Merseyside, Liverpool have renwed their pursuit of PSG midfielder Thiago Motta.

He was believed to be Atletico Madrid bound, but that deal has stalled, and the Express say that Liverpool are back in the chase for the Italian international.

And Burnley are closing in on the capture of Nottingham Forest star Henri Lansbury.

The Mirror say a £4m bid has been accepted, and talks between the player and the Clarets will take place today.
