The striker, who turned 27 on Sunday, is enjoying his first season as a professional and has been surprised by the amount of football he’s played.

“When I first came in I didn’t think I would have played as much as I did, because I was coming from non-league,” he said.

“I’ve never been at this level so to start, be in the squad every week and be playing, I can’t complain.

“Coming from non-league people look at you and think you might not be the best, but I think I’ve earned my place here.

“It’s the best job in the world, coming in to play football every day, I can’t moan.”

Dennis, who has found the net eight times to sit top of the club’s goalscoring chart, says he has achieved his main personal target at the Proact this season.

But he’s not yet ready to reveal the number of goals he challenged himself to score.

“First of all it was just to get in the team and then go from there,” he said.

“I did set a little goal - I’ll tell you at the end of the season if I get it.”
